Established in Washington D.C. on December 24th, 1961, the Indonesian Students Association in the United States of America (PERMIAS) is a non-profit and independent organization whose membership consists of all Indonesian students studying in the U.S. They are the young generation of Indonesians who feel the need to acquire more knowledge and experiences that will be shared as their contribution to the development of Indonesia. Living and studying abroad away from their families, it is vital for the Indonesian students to maintain solidarity and unity among themselves. To realize these intents, PERMIAS Hawaii organizes and conducts various academic, social, cultural, and recreational activities.
